This rough sketch was just something I did to play with a Cintiq tablet monitor. I had the work of Syd Mead in the back of my mind when I did this- he uses a lot of saturated red to blue color shifting- it is almost his trademark. Movies like Crimson Tide execute the lighting in a similar fashion. This was quick work, probably an hour or so with the complete nonsense graphics.
